Dr Eichenseer is top shelf. Professional over the top. Great common sense. His staff gets ten stars. Super nice every visit. I have no problem driving hour and a half to his office. Worth every mile. Ortho Neuro is excellent.

Knowledgeable and personable

During my initial appointment with Dr. Eichenseer, I sensed that he is very knowledgeable and competent in the area of lumbar back surgery. It has been almost 8 weeks since he performed a revision surgery, 22 years after a different surgeon did spinal fusion which eventually failed, and I'm feeling better and can walk further and further before feeling pain. This outcome is quite good since revision surgeries tend to be plagued with scar tissue and not readily successful in alleviating lower back and leg pain. I strongly recommend Dr. Eichenseer to anyone who has back pain and related sciatica.

Eight spinal surgeries and this is the second done by a doctor at OrthoNeuro. Dr. Rohl did one several years back and this one by Dr. Eichenseer. These two surgeries are the only ones where I woke in recovery and all my symptoms were completely gone. Dr. Eichenseer is an awesome doctor backed by an amazing staff at OrthoNeuro and Mount Carmel New Albany. Thank you all so much!!

Great doctor

After a sudden onset of debilitating sciatic nerve pain and muscle spasms Dr Eichenseer is who initially diagnosed my highly unstable spondylolisthesis and who I ultimately chose to perform my surgery after getting a number of opinions. I felt that his suggested approach was the gold standard for treating a vertebrae as unstable as mine and would give me the highest chances of fully freeing my nerves and obtaining long term stability (I am in my mid-30s and have two small children). He and the staff at Ortho Neuro all had wonderful bedside manners and were very easy to communicate with providing compassionate and highly professional care throughout my experience. I am now 6 months post-op and could not be happier with my results, my imaging looks perfect and all of my symptoms have been completely relieved, I am very optimistic about my long term outlook. It is quite a surreal experience to have to entrust someone with your spine and I have no regrets about my decision. I am so grateful for the care I received throughout my experience and for getting my life back! 

Paul is an exceptional surgeon. He performed a cervical spine fusion and it went perfectly. I’m feeling better and I’ll be back to work in no time. I recommend Paul to any patient that has a similar condition. He’s has a great bedside manner, is very knowledgeable, and will work with you. He will patently answer all your questions and options for treatment.

I met Dr Eichenseer Feb 8, 2021 as a new patient. He totally put me at ease with his kind manner. He showed me and gave me copy of X-rays of my back showing the problem area.
