Dr. Paul Joos has the following 1 specialty
An ophthalmologist has the training to do much more than just prescribe glasses. They are physicians specially trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the eyes and vision. These doctors are experts on the complicated anatomy of the eye and are trained to treat eye diseases through both medical and surgical methods.
Some common conditions that ophthalmologists treat are cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and amblyopia. In addition, ophthalmologists can provide prescriptions for eye glasses and contact lenses and perform LASIK surgery and other corrective surgeries for refractive errors like myopia (near-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness), astigmatism and presbyopia.

Started bad with him running his chair into my shin below injured knee (MVA) that was next to my cane before exam and with no apology. We had mentioned my knee too. Did not want to put the patient chin rest where I could get at it with my injured neck. Then very abrupt with the exam. It got very unprofessional after I quietly questioned his statements as to my diagnosis. He asked me if I was mad at him? What did it have to do with his feelings? Said he couldn't see something I could see before the accident (very small print) when I tried to explain my frustration at a 12 hour change in my vision. And went on with him saying I should not rush to a second opinion when I was leaving after telling him I did not want to discuss anything further. Finally as I was hobbling out of the room, he said some psychological babble at me about my age and my denials as to changes due to it. Really? My husband was very upset as I was. Not great after the stuff we have been through.
