Dr. Paul Ben Meltzer

DR MELTZER IS GREAT!!!! Listened to me and my problems. THEN, listened to my wife and her issues -----> even though she is NOT even his patient. Very knowledgeable about medicine, cardiology, and also very friendly. office staff were ALSO wonderful. Was seen as soon as I was shown to the exam room. I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Doctor Meltzer for many years and I have nothing but good things to say about the care I have received from him and his staff. I had a particularly challenging issue with atrial fibrillation. Dr. Meltzer did not give up on me, he kept working to find the correct drug combination that keeps me in a sinus rhythm. He always has a friendly smile and professional demeanor.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Dr. Meltzer is at the end of his career and it shows. He is short with patients, and clearly to him this is just a business to make as much money before retiring. He clearly doesn't care for his patients well-being, instead all he sees are dollar signs walking in for appointments. On several occasions he has made me feel extremely dumb for asking simple questions about my health and family history. I have been rushed out of my appointment by the doctor who had made a personal appointment at the same time. If you need an appointment any time after 3:45pm you are out of luck. I have been prescribed medicine that does not get communicated to the pharmacy. When I called I was told it was the Pharmacy's fault to contact them. The pharmacy explained nothing was ever sent. Solange, who calls in prescriptions, got aggressive with me when I told her the prescription never made it to the pharmacy. Its a simple procedure, how can there be so much angst and confusion… regarding a very simple task!? Overall, just an entirely negative experience with this doctors office. I feel unwelcome and the management is unprofessional and unfortunately it starts with the doctors lackadaisical approach and trickles down to his staff.

Great doc, he has been seeing me for around 10 years, always friendly and professional.

Had an appointment with Dr. Meltzer yesterday, He is easy-going and friendly, really took extra time to explain my options and potential risks for each. He put me at ease and calmed my fears... great guy.

I have been seeing Dr Meltzer for 12 years now. I am very pleased with the treatment and his comitmint to keeping my heart healthy.

Have just come from a visit and check-up with Dr Meltzer. The staff at his office is always friendly and welcoming, Dr Meltzer always take plenty of time with me to discuss my treatment and to discuss the options. I am glad he is my doctor, he it the only one who has been able to keep me in a normal rythem.

The staff is very nice. This review is based on Dr. Meltzer's bedside manner, which is non-existent. I understand doctor's must be stern with patients, so they take their condition seriously, and change their lifestyle, etc... Dr. Meltzer gives only critique, and when asked questions he will not give you an answer. He has a cold demeanor, and it does not seem that he has a "heart" himself. My husband has atrial fibrillation, and he made it seem as though his future was dismal. As a wife, I asked many questions since I wanted my husband to be reassured that everything would be ok since his bedside manner terrified my husband. I am stunned at the previous reviews that state the visit was excellent. This is not true. We are seeing another cardiologist who does care about his patients by being compassionate. For your own well being see another doctor.
