Dr. Pauline Smith Powers, MD

What a waste of time and a lot of money. Zero help — seemed very forgetful and confused — kept repeating the same statements over and over like she never said them before. Bizarre. Don’t bother.

Okay, I'm not a patient but an RN who worked with Dr Powers years ago on an eating disorders unit. To this day I remember her thoroughness, compassion and knowledge. I've gone on to work in a variety of settings involved in mental health care and have yet to find another doctor I admire more.

Excellent choice for those suffering from an eating disorder. She knows what she's talking about and goes over family issues as well as mental state and medication, eating problems etc. You tell her an issue you've got, of any kind, and she wants to do something about it. I'd recommend for all ages, especially teens and adults. Very pleasant, very helpful and informative.

Dr. Powers saved my life at age 13 from Anodexia Nervosa. I had suffered for nearly a year and had gone from 143 pounds to 87 in seven months. With 58 days of inpatient care under her guidance, I left at 105 and have progressed over the years. Sure, there are times as a female I feel fat-but I truly feel I've beat the disease. And I could have not done it without her program.
