Dr. Payam Daneshrad, MD

He pretended to be a facial plastic surgeon and a USC faculty member and ripped me off of $9000 for a surgery that left my nose deformed. He instructs his office to not answer my calls. He is incompetent and fraudulent. In order to rip innocent patients off he made up a non-existent title: “board-eligible facial plastic surgeon” which the board confirmed to be a fake title. Do NOT trust this person he will deform your nose and steal your money.

I went to him because I'd been suffering from chronic rhinitis and the internist at my university recommended him. Contrary to what my university's internist told me, Dr. Daneshrad was extremely dismissive and condescending. I use Afrin regularly due to severe nasal congestion. He told me to stop using Afrin completely and just breathe through my mouth instead, without understanding how I literally can't sleep while breathing through my mouth. I know Afrin use isn't ideal long term, but sometimes we can't avoid it and Dr. Daneshrad doesn't understand that. He can't listen. Dr. Daneshrad is by far the most incompetent ENT doctor I've ever been to.

A greedy incompetent doctor. He botched my nose and made it look SO MUCH WORSE and made me pay $9000 out of pocket. Then he asked his staff to block my calls and e-mails when I tried to schedule post surgery follow-up. A total incompetent surgeon, and a scammer. DO NOT LET HIM TOUCH YOUR NOSE.

Recently had a balloon sinuplasty procedure performed by him. I have no complaints about the procedure itself, but was told that my insurance would cover the procedure. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill for almost $4,000 from him afterwards. Then I spent over a month trying to get his office to discuss this issue (calling every week). Finally they acknowledged that they should have found out how much my insurance would cover and agreed to lower my bill to $1,700. But I feel that is still ridiculous. So please check your insurance before having anything done here. Unlike other medical professionals - they can't seem to do that .

I saw Dr. Daneshrad the first time this week. I was very impressed in the way he gave an alternative to surgery and medication, with a let's wait & see attitude.
