Dr. Pedro Mego is a board certificated Interventional Cardiologist, who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease and Chronic Venous Disease. He is an Endovascular Diplomate by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Mego is an expert performing minimally invasive Endovascular Procedures to restore circulation, reducing the need or level of amputation and improving quality of life of his patients. He has been serving the Rio Grande Valle since 2005.
Dr. Mego received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos School of Medicine in Peru. He completed residency training in internal medicine at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Mego continued his education with a cardiology fellowship at Montreal Heart Institute and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
