Dr. Perry Lynn Swann, MD

Please do not go to Perry Swan. A family member who had a stroke was dismissed without proper care, humiliated and randomly accused of being a meth user. Our family member could not speak or walk because of the stroke, and this enraged Perry Swan enough for him to be accusatory and rude. It’s beyond belief that a doctor would treat someone in need of emergency medical care- who is already scared and upset- in such an inhumane and cruel way. He discharged her while she was still unable to communicate or move. We are beside ourselves and don’t understand how a doctor could do this. If we ever have another emergency we would better off going to a hospital farther away if it meant avoiding this doctor. Please, stay far away from this “doctor” if you want to be treated with common decency and expect to have your issue treated. Absolutely abhorrent.

Dr. Swann was kind, patient and the first Dr. I had seen in three months who both knew and explained why my blood pressure was going up and down drastically. I am on this site looking to book an appointment with this man. After months of being medicated and sent home with extreme BP, Dr. Swann took the time to figure out the problem. Spoke to me for 1 minute, after politely asking him to not speak about a story that was not relevant to the day why I was hospitalized hey RUDLY commented in front of me with no remark to his profession " ah this kind of mente(mental) " SIR I WILL BE DAMMED TO PAY 441$ for a 1 minute visit. I am glad to not pay for what I experienced that evening. God bless.

Dr. Swann should not even be in medicine. He was extremely rude and hateful to my mother who was and has been in intense pain. My father was talking to him asking a question about her care and he literally turned around mid sentence and walked out with a huff. WE WILL NOT EVER USE DR. SWANN OR HUNTSVILLE HOSPITAL AGAIN!

My sister and I were in the ER Saturday afternoon, Dr. Swan was assigned to care for our Dad who is 86 year old. This Dr. is rude beyond ordinary rude. If a Dr. cannot walk in a room and talk to a pt. instead of standing in the doorway he needs to find another profession.

The low rating others have given is justified. He was very rough and showed little concern for the young patient. Minimal explanation was given and insensitive comments were made. We would never willingly be seen by him again.

I should've asked to be seen by someone else based on the first impression thathe'd given. I already had a diagnosis because I had the same issue before, but my last experience was much better (with a different doctor of course). His rudeness made me feel as if I'd done something wrong. He was unnecessarily rough and made several snappy remarks as he caused more pain. I'm still praying for him. Maybe he had a bad day at work, but it's not fair to the patients who aren't aware.
