Dr. Peter C Albertsen, MD

I wish I had read the reviews before I went to see Dr. Albertson. My procedure was a horrible experience and extremely painful. It seems like he has been doing this too long and maybe should either retire or just stick to academia. I’m kicking myself for going to him and only hoping that this review helps others find another option.

I've had 2 surgeries with Dr. Albertsen and both were successful. He is chief of urology and Uconn Health and besides his teaching responsibilities he lectures around the world on prostate cancer. He explains every procedure thoroughly and his followup is outstanding.

I am very happy and lucky to find Dr. Albertsen. It has been 4 years now since my surgery and things are great. He was very supportive and was understanding to me and my families concerns. Thank you again

unfortunately my experience was not great. I feel as though Dr. Albertsen not only didn't listen to me he questioned my authenticity. When I told him how much pain I was in, his response was "I only have your word on this". I felt hopeful when receiving my appointment with Dr. Albertsen. With no health insurance I have had a difficult time finding help for ic which I am SUFFERING from. I am back to feeling hopeless. I am sure he is a fine Doc. and for whatever reason he is just not for me.

Dr. Albertsen, Was not the first Dr. that I had considered for my operation,but we meet and he very thorough and was very confident and delivered on results he discussed with me. I could not be more pleased and would highly recommend !!
