Dr. Peter Ching returned to Austin in 2004 after completing his training at the University of Minnesota. After completing a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Plan II at the University of Texas, he attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His surgical interests run the gamut of general surgery including Laparoscopic Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Colorectal Surgery. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and completed a Surgical Infectious Disease fellowship while at the University of Minnesota.
In his spare time, he enjoys family time with his wife, Laura Suggs PhD, and their two young children, Eric and Evie. He can also be spotted paddleboarding around Lady Bird Lake and windsurfing at Lake Travis.
