Dr. Peter C Debelius-Enmark, MD

It was difficult to make the decision to check myself into the Behavioral Health Center....By far the best part of that decision came to be that I was treated by Dr. Debelius. He knew exactly how to tweak my medication, and when I checked out, I was able to return to work. At my appointments, he always spends time with me to see how I've been doing since the last appointment. He has a gentle nature and many times quickly diagnoses the situational root of why I may be experiencing a slight depression. And he's right on. Thus I receive med management as well as his wisdom... I wouldn't be doing so well if I was seeing anyone else.Dr. Debelius.

I love Dr Develious, he is very compassionate, he even spoke in Spanish to my mother and assured her that her daughter will be okay and the there was nothing to worry about. He is the most understanding doctor I met. Love him

Overall great doctor! Dr. D. provided excellent care for our college-aged daughter...how blessed we were to have him on our team (Yes, team. Our family was involved and we worked together with Dr. D and his staff.) This was a number of years ago and our daughter is now successfully managing her life - she has enough insight and skill to live independently in another state, working full-time following her graduation from college. She has a new doctor now, but it was the initial care she received from Dr. Debelius that set the standard for her doctors. We are thankful she survived a terrible period in her life; more than survived, she has matured into a wonderful woman.Thank you, Dr. D.

Dr. Debelius is by far the best psychiatrist that I've seen in the past 20 years, and I have seen many. He takes the time to listen and offers suggestions that are right on target. He is extremely knowledgeable with regards to the nature of all mental illnesses, and very humble as well...The latter being an adjective that one can not always pair up with a psychiatrist. He explains one's treatment plan and I have always felt a part of the team when it comes to my illness. If he can't squeeze me in before my set appointment (because I am not doing so well), his nurse practitioner in his office is always able to see me. (Dr. Debelius wears many different hats and thus I feel privileged that I was able to be added to his patient list...He is extremely busy, but as I said, he takes the time to listen to me when I see him. I don't know how he does that given his full schedule, but he does that with ease.) His nurse practitioner is very knowledgeable, too, as well as the nurse in his office.… I always promptly receive a call back when I leave a message. His office staff is extremely courteous even if I am having a bad day and thus in a bad mood. By far, Dr, Debelius is the best psychiatrist in Tallahassee, North Florida, and very possibly in the whole state of Florida.

I met with Dr. Debelius when I was hospitalized for depression. He showed little sympathy for my situation, and was nonresponsive to any of my concerns. When I was hospitalized, he was to visit his patients once a day, but I only saw him every other day for 10 minutes at the most. Lack of compassion and professionalism!
