Dr. Peter Edward Fong, MD

I would travel wherever Dr.Fong is located, unlike most he actually listens to his patients

I have been a patient of Dr. Fong for many years, since he was at Georgia Pain Physicians in Marietta. He is one of the only doctor's that I trust with my pain management and medical procedures. He is one of the best at what he does. However, I found out today, that he is no longer with CSPM(Center for Pain Management ) in Calhoun, Ga. The clinic staff stated that the clinic was closing for renovations and that patients will have to go to the Dalton, Ga office which is 30 minutes more North of the Calhoun's location. I just so happened to receive a call, because my husband is also a patient of his and had a medical procedure scheduled for tomorrow. At 4:02, I received a called stating that Dr. Fong is no longer there and that the owner of the clinic in Chattanooga and Dalton, Dr. Sohoni will be doing the procedure. No disrespect to Dr. Sohoni and his credentials, but we have never met him before. I had a procedure a week ago and was expecting a follow up appt. I can't put into words… how shocked and disappointed we are with this situation. First, Dr. Windsor's clinics closed(Georgia Pain...) without any warning about 2 years ago, and it took me about 6 to 7 months to find Dr. Fong. The Calhoun office states that Dr. Fong just left. I cannot understand how a doctor will just leave without notifying his patients. There is always two sides to a story. There are no words to express my disappointment, since because of him I am able to have a better quality of life. Not only that, I brought my spouse to him for relief for his neuropathic illness, and his lower back pains which he lives with 24-7. Only those who live with pain every day, will understand how living with pain impacts your life and daily interactions. My experience with Dr. Fong has been excellent, until an hour ago.

I can’t belive dr fong is gone I revive a call one day last week telling me dr fong no longer work at the Calhoun Office I had to go to dalton I live in Summerville ga that’s a long ride for me I really wish I knew what happen to dr fong

dr.fong is the only painmanagement dr that I trust he's very patient, he cares, and he listens he takes time to find out what's best for you when it comes to doing procedures and helping you deal with your pain

i think Dr. Fong is one of the very best...i would not be walking if not for him..So sorry he's not in Rome, Ga anymore.He cared and helped me so much. He always listened to me. He gave me something that helped with the pain of injection in lover back. just wish he were still here. have been trying to find where he went , will travel to have his as my Dr. again....

while giving injections to neck I was cramping and he would not stop. would not listen to other problems I have. let me go without meds for ten days I almost died.

Dr. Fong was a little cool at first, but got better as time went on. I have seen several pain doctors by now, and I guess he is about as good as you get in this field. He was understanding about my particular condition and did well by me on my meds after my surgery. He went out of my insurance just when we had a good repore, had to see his associate, did not like! So on that merry-go-round, which is very difficult getting records moved and getting to know the doctors and worrying about your meds.I liked him overall.
