Appointment with Dr. Gach was very positive. He is very professional and personable. He had his staff set up an endoscopy for me in three weeks time. The afternoon before the appointment received a call that the appointment is cancelled and made a new appointment for three weeks. The day of the appointment after filling out all the forms and waiting almost 2 hours called in and asked if I had prepped for my colonoscopy. I told her no, I was scheduled for an endoscopy. She left to double check and told me that the office staff scheduled me "last minute" for a colonoscopy. Did I want to go back out and fill out additional forms or talk to the doctor. No, I just want to leave - she apologized but it was not the fault of the Surgical Center but of the Doctor office. Needless to say I will not be going back. Shame because I did like Dr. Gach.

No one looks forward to a colonoscopy but this was a good experience..starting with the receptionist Michele...great personality, very comforting and very professional. The Dr. was great, he has a good sense of humor..I would recommend 100%.

When I called to make an appointment, I asked the young lady who answered the phone if they have my medical records transfer over from a previous doctor. She said yes and i made was made an appointment. They day of my appointment,I waited two hours before I was put in a room. She takes my vitals and asked that I wait and the doctor would see me soon. After 10 minutes, she came back in asking me for my Driver's license and insurance card. I told her that, I do not have the card but after two hours I assume she retrive my insurance information from my medical records and benefits were verified. She said no but you have to get out of the room. You can not be seen without a copy of the insurance card. I asked her to called my primary doctors office but she said they were closed. She refused to call my insurance company which is Blue Cross PPO to verify benefits because she said its too late, I have to reschedule. I do not know what happened but she has three people schedule for the same 12 o'clock appointment. Her approach was very rude and condescending. I work as an AR Manager for one of the local hospitals systems and I know the importance of insurance. I was not trying to received free care but she made a mistake that day. Instead of admitting to her mistakes, she blamed me for her mistakes. She looks overwhelmed because she was only one person checking patients in and out and also taking vitals. I am not saying she wasn't busy her approaching was wrong and unprofessional.

My husband was treated by Dr. Gach in the hospital after being admitted with stomach problems. Dr Gach told him to call his office on Wed, Jan 2 to schedule a colonoscopy. He called on Wed and spoke to Michelle and she told him she would get back to him the next day. After hearing nothing, he called on Friday, Jan 4 and again spoke to Michele. She told him to give her a couple days so the doctor could retrieve his records from the hospital. Still he heard nothing for a week so I called on Friday, Jan 11 and left a detailed message and asked that they return my call. To date, we have had no response so we will have to find another G.I. Doctor. I don't know if I should blame the doctor or his staff, but they are very unprofessional and uncaring. If he doesn't have the time he should at least let the patient know so that they can make other arrangements to get necessary treatment, especially when time can be of the essence.

My husband made an appointment and he was told they took his insurance. When we got there suddenly we were told they DID NOT accept his insurance! Well do you or don't you!! Get it right from the start!! As we were ready to leave my husband suggested to call his carrier to make sure you think they as so called professionals would have thought of this. Good thing at least my husband was smart enough and sure enough they DID accept his insurance. Their reply was oh I didn't know we took this insurance. Keep up on the DETAILS and know what you take don't let the patient think of a solution! As I was sitting there the doctor came to the front desk and just by his demeanor I said to my husband he sounds arrogant and nasty!! We were called in for our appointment as my husband has a serious condition where his stomach is like a basketball and very swollen lymph nodes. This Dr. was so Arrogant and Nasty just as I thought listening to him at the front desk boy was I right!! I hated him from the start the way he talked to my husband! He talked more about Gluten and Bowel Movements more than the problem WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! Get to the root of the problem!! He suggested 2 procedures and we asked Michelle at the front desk if she could call the carrier to see if both were covered our appointment was on a Thursday and she said I will call you by Tuesday. Irresponsible like the doctor NEVER CALLED and it's now Friday. Finally my husband made the call and got the info. within 2 minutes from the carrier or we would still be waiting for days and days!! That's how you treat a patient forget about them!! Horrible experience staff, doctor and even WRONG insurance info. that's why my husband called before we came in to see if you accept the insurance and even got that WRONG!! STAY AWAY!! We finally got to the root of the problem from another doctor!!!
