Dr. Peter Schultz is the Medical Director of Nura Pain Clinics. He works with our advanced practice providers, physical therapists and behavioral psychologists to provide the comprehensive evaluation each new patient receives. Prior to joining Nura, Dr. Schultz spent nearly 30 years practicing in California’s Bay Area, with significant roles as a Hospitalist Physician at the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, as Medical Director for the Berkeley Primary Care Access Clinic, and as a member of the Clinical Faculty of the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Schultz has extensive volunteer experience serving the underserved, ranging from teaching in Nepal to providing medical services at a Navajo Indian Hospital as well as at various locations in the Bay Area and in Central America.
