Dr. Peter Strautins Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson may be decent surgeon but it ends there. I had emergency surgery and he happened to be the on call surgeon. I spent significant time in the hospital. Dr. Wilson spent minimal time explaining what happened to me in hospital directly and even after I was discharged. His bedside manner and overall patient interaction was lacking and got consistently worse after discharge. He has been extremely dismissive and condescending, refused to listen much less actually hear me the entire time. Most contact post discharge (even on critical matters)was relayed through a third or even fourth party. The most frustrating part was the constant changing of medical information and recommendations throughout the process. In my experience Dr. Wilson also has zero regard for patient rights. I will be seeking follow up care outside of the city.

Forgot to mention on my earlier comment that the staff was efficient, friendly, knew their role in my surgery like insurace etc. Thought the whole staff was great. And i would say if something bugged me. Thanks for all your roles in getting me fixed. Bu the way fast too from 1rst appt to surgery. Thanks again Kenny g.

Dr wilson fixed an old double hernia for me. I have weak heart and have had doctors not want to work with me. He was concerned but no fear foxef me up and just so proud of the job the tight feel and no discomfort.. just really liked doctor Wilson and wouldn't hesitate to use him for any thing. Retired but now kicking again. Kenny g.

Dr. Wilson did a robotic bilateral hernia repair on me a week ago. Today, I had a follow-up visit with him. He took time to talk to me about my experiences after the surgery and did an assessment of the surgical area and expressed his satisfaction with the rapid healing time. I have no complications nor pain about which I am extremely happy. He is a very intelligent surgeon with a genuinely kind and caring personality. I chose to have my hernia repaired done by him because I have had two other surgeries with him in the past and I was very happy with the treatments and care I received from him and his staff. Dr. Wilson is the best surgeon any patient would dream to have. I highly recommend him to my family members, friends, and anyone who desires to receive the BEST care!

He attempted to get a samples from my stomach lymph nodes. Instead he nicked my intestines. The problem was found 24 hours later when I was fighting for my life. I spent two weeks in intensive care and had to go under several more surgeries to clean up my stomach of bacteria.

Dr. Wilson has done several surgeries for me colon resection, intestinal resection, gall bladder, hernia repair. His bed side manner is wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Wilson performed a left side Inguinal Hernia Repair and one week later I feel GREAT! He performed the surgery the old way because of a recent surgery that was performed laparoscopically in the same area. I was in terrible pain and now I feel only a minor pain fron the healing of the surgical site. He did GREAT for me and I highly recommend him.

My only regret is not suing for malpractice. 6 years later I am still having corrective surgeries to repair the damage he caused.
