While pediatricians may sub-specialize in specific therapy areas like oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, and anesthesiology, in general, pediatricians provide services like vaccinations, health exams, and treatment of common ailments and injuries. In addition, pediatricians are trained to handle the complex emotional and behavioral issues faced by children, especially during puberty.
Pediatricians normally see their patients from birth until the age of 18, although some may agree to treat patients into their early 20s, if requested.

Dr. Adler cared for my children when they were young. Nina is now 35 n Nick is 28 and to this day they have fond memories of their doc. Dr A is a walking book of knowledge, a kind man and is right on target about his care. We need more doctors like him. Thank you Dr A for loving n caring for my children.
I was a patient of Dr. Adler in my childhood. He was the doctor for every child in my family, he was even my parents doctor. I must say that because of him my asthma was controlled and I was able to have a normal childhood. I saw him at least once per week for allergy shots, and so he was a constant part of my life until I was 17. I love Dr. Adler and his two nurses Lorraine and Vivian. They made life a better place for me. I still suffer fro,m sever asthma and I wish I could see my Dr. Adler.
Dr. Adler retired a number of years ago. But he was a terrific pediatrician for our daughter. He was available to my family for 24 hours a day seven days a week. He took call ever night. Whether we needed a specialist or had to go to a hospital, he would always call in advance to make sure that our daughter got the care that she needed (and that we wouldn't have to wait forever in the ER waiting room). His clinical skills were first rate, though he may not have had the greatest bedside manner. My take on Dr. Adler was that he cared first and foremost about your child's well being ,which at the end of the day was what was most important to us. We will greatly miss him as our pediatrician.
