Dr. Philip Jay Rubinfeld, MD

Dr. Rubinfeld doesn't really understand pain because when you tell him you tried his recommendation, he still wouldn't do better. I wouldn't recommend him. He has a nasty way about himself and he charges a lot for an office visit. Go where they have only good reviews about the doctor. A pain office should really try to help their patients to have less pain and work with them, not against them.

Sent by referral.B4 scheduling appt,made 2 separate calls to the ofc AND the facility (which he has financial interest in) verifying each was an IN-NETWORK provider. 1st thing on arrival was request for urine sample as if I was competing in the Olympics or in a drug rehab program. Had little to no knowledge as to why I was there which was less than a confidence builder. With some reluctance,scheduled procedure approx 1 month in advance after ONCE AGAIN verifying THIS facility was a participating IN-NETWORK provider. 2 days before,received call from same individual in his ofc which made arrangments and was informed that the facility will only perform certain procedures which are basically bottom line friendly and this wasn't one of them. Best of all was when confronted by a healthcare company official,his ofc. spokesperson brazenly told him the same thing.After the fact,he tells the insurance co. that he was willing to do the procedure.Really and where might that be....in the… parking lot at Walmart? This joker wants to remain in network,be able to pick and choose what procedures bring in the highest revenue,and after the fact be paid for a worthless office visit. Having been in sports,come across a fair share of crackpots/quacks,but this one reaches new depths.Wouldn't trust any further than I can throw a baby grand piano.

See his physicians assitant Melanie, she is excellent, more personable better and gentler, Ive been trying to get other Drs. To get me out of pain, they should be ashamed of themselves for taking my money, these guys go after it!

I have to say that my experience with Dr. Rubinfeld and his staff has been a positive one. During my times of great pain and personal pain, they were all there for me. I am very lucky to have Dr. Rubinfeld and Melanie. His staff also have been great with me. Nothing else to say but good and positive things.
