Dr. Philip Gary Wilcox, MD

This Dr. Has thankfully retired but not before blatantly lying to my face telling me that the fracture in my tibia was healed and all hardware was intact. I never saw the x ray at the time but months later went to a competent surgeon to find out that it was NOT healed and many screws were broken!

Had to have surgery 5 days as go on right knee do to a Foreign object. He was rude to and the staff that was taken care of me in the hospital. Did give me anything for the pain or even a antibiotic. My nurse called down to ask for something his responses was I am not giving him a Dam thing he immediately discharged me. I called and spoking with him on the way out of the hospital same response his words were I shouldn’t be in pain. I am in a lot of pain and having a hard time walking on it. Would not recommend him to a dead horse.

Dr. Wilcox was rude, abrupt and insensitive. He did not care about my health issue or try and help. I would not recommend him to anyone!!’

Not very good at listening to patients, knows old techniques but not very knowledgeable on newer techniques. Not very straight forward with explaining things which then requires you to ask a lot of questions. Likes the wait and see approach on things that require surgery to function correctly. He might be great with other things but would steer clear with acl reconstruction.

Have seen Dr. Wilcox several times for torn ACL and meniscus. Seen for first time on a Monday in-for surgery on Thursday. Very nice quiet Dr. Will continue to see and won’t hesitate to send people to him. And staff at Green is awesome.

Dr. Wilcox spent only a few minutes with me at appointments and didn't address the difficulty I was having. I had a fractured metatarsal which did not heal properly and led to surgery by another surgeon. His main receptionist is extremely rude, and the overall office atmosphere is unwelcoming.

He is kind and knowledgeable and takes time figuring out what plan is best for the patient and situation. Staff is very friendly.

I have been very pleased with all of my visits to Dr. Wilcox's offices. I've been to the office in Fairlawn once and the one in Green twice. I was seen on a Tuesday for my broken ankle, and surgery was scheduled 2 days later. I was surprised how quickly they were able to take care of me. Dr. Wilcox is not overly "chatty", but he is very kind and seems to really care. I especially appreciate how nice his office staff is...especially the one nurse (I do not know her name, I'm sorry) but she works at the Green office on Thursdays. After only being to his office one time, she knew my name and greeted me when I walked in for my next appointment. That was impressive, and I would recommend their office to anyone who needs this type of expertise!

Had to have surgery redone by a hand surgeon.
