Dr. Wackym is the most knowledgeable and personable doctor I've ever met. I have had several serious conditions, so I've seen my share. He is one of the top couple of surgeons for third window syndrome. His knowledge regarding diseases/conditions of the vestibular system is second to none.

I will not doubt that Dr. Wackym is a skilled surgeon. And honestly I wish I had a better experience with him. However we were not pleased with some of his bedside manner and time management. The first appointment we had with him he went 2.5 hours past our appointment time. Overall it is obvious his office struggles with appropriate time management and should notify patients of a 30minute time window for his visit, so as not to run over time. When you are working with a surgeon, you want to know he will give you consistent care and not give up on you-- and furthermore, that he will remain professional and not project his behavior and frustration from other patients onto you during your appointment the way he did with us. If you want a surgeon who will really be focused on you and caring, I would consider someone else. Our experience was feeling rushed and treated as an afterthought.
