Awesome doctor. Very knowledgeable and great customer service.

I have been with Dr. Theuma for about 7 years and have found him to be extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He never acts hurried and is focused on you and your needs while you are before him. I have also found his nurse, Sharon Abrams, to be very competent. She shows the same compassion and thoroughness as does Dr. Theuma. She spends many hours working with insurance companies for me which is an "above and beyond" service to her patients. I feel privileged to have of these professionals working with me to give me quality diabetic care.

Takes over a week to return a phone call about a simple question, and has a nurse call back each time. Multiple times has not even addressed the problem that I'm having. Do not go to him if you have any other choice.

I've been a patient of Dr. Theuma's since he arrived in Des Moines. Both he and his staff are wonderful. He takes time with me and is interested in all aspects of my health and how it may affect my diabetes. I am an older Type 1 Diabetic on an insulin pump with a history of thyroid disease.

Excellent diagnostician, and follow up is outstanding. Never acts hurried and explains his findings in a way that is easily understood. Has a very pleasant and reassuring manner.
