Dr. Pio D Clavecilla, MD

The Southwest Medical/OptumCare system might work somewhere, but not where Clavecilla works. Staff and doctor did not understand my medical needs, took me off essential medicine I was on for years, made my health worse, and after I went to another doctor, the Southwest Medical system and Dr. Clavecilla kept making appointments for me to keep in the future for a whole year, even though I was on a new insurance plan that did not include OptumCare facilities. I called Southwest Medical to attempt to fix things for months, only to meet with argumentive staff that were very mean and happy to be mean and unhelpful. I have had to block their number for my phone because their system keeps calling me with appointments their automated system keeps making for me.

About 5 years ago, I was told to schedule an appointment with an internist medical doctor. I was examined by Dr. Pio Clavecilla located at Southwest Medical Center. During the examination, Dr. Clavecilla diagnosed a sound in my abdomen. He immediately referred me to have an MRI of my abdomen. The results showed an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Because of his diagnosis, I received treatment for this condition. I personally thank him for saving my life.

I like his bedside manner. He is straight forward. Always helpful.

I have been a patient of doctor Clavecilla for about 5 years. It is so nice to have a doctor that listens and gives you advice in a thoughtful and clear way. You can tell that he really cares.
