Dr. Pirko Maguina, MD

The reviews and research read about Dr. Pirko were the only ones I depended on to entrust my face to him for an upper blepharoplasty. Aside from the fear of someone I do not know touching my face, I must admit that even if I am in the medical field (nurse practitioner and an RN working in PACU) I was so scared to go under the knife with a local anesthesia. Here is an honest review: Front Desk/ staff/ office: Front desk team and the “whole” staff is superb! From telephone manners to greeting every customer that steps in- you will feel a welcoming environment without discrimination, to scheduling me for an earlier date! The assistant/nurse of Dr. Pirko during the procedure is very professional, kind and will make you feel comfortable and less anxious. The office is very clean, very nice and relaxing! I feel like I wanted to stay there the whole day, a nice place to de stress. Such very positive energy! I believe their website is one of the few cosmetic surgery clinics( if not the… only one) that provides transparency with the prices for their services and in my opinion , they are able to do this because of the fact that their prices are reasonable and fair just like the blepharoplasty I got. You would not feel intimidated or have worries if you are thinking of going beyond your budget. Procedure: During the procedure, though injecting the local anesthesia was quite painful, Dr. Pirko is gifted of such gentleness, that is worth noting (a true surgeon indeed). We had little conversations that calmed my nerves down. The first 3 days post procedure was a miserable experience. Dr. Pirko was so right, he told me that the 3rd day is the worst and it was! I was swollen all over and felt some fear if my face would ever come back to normal again. My trust to my surgeon (Dr. Pirko) made so much difference that all is good and kept me hoping that things will get better. The fourth day onwards my eyes got better and better! There was a lot of improvement in my upper eyelids and without any complications! Thanks be to God! To God be the glory through the hands of this surgeon! Dr. Pirko Maguina: Qualities/impressions (I admire) with the short time I spent with him: a very humble, grounded and down to earth doctor! I had been in the medical field for 10+ years and had encountered different personalities of health professionals. His humility and being grounded (I believe) stems from the fact that he has done so many medical missions to developing countries needing his expertise…and this changed my perception on cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Pirko is such a blessing to the world and no wonder the blessings comes back to him abundantly. Dr. Pirko is professional, pleasant, accepting (no judgements/ discrimination) from the time I met him through a virtual consultation which I did not see much from another doctor I consulted with. Dr. Pirko treated me like her sister ( as he assured me during the procedure) and it felt good that you feel like you are not alone during the first miserable days of post procedure as he made himself available, gave his number if any problem comes up. Dr. Pirko won the best doctor award 2019 in Sacramento. From the time he injected the lidocaine to measuring my eyelids, marking it and cutting me with his knife, I can tell he is par excellence! May God continue to bless and keep Dr. Pirko and his A team!

Dr Magiana treated my grandson at shriners hospital. I cannot express enough gratitude for what he has done for my grandson. Excellent beside manners and very courteous.

I found Doc Maguina amazing. When he treated me he took the time to walk me through the process step by step and gave me at all times that comforting sensation that everything would be all right. After the treatment I could return to my normal life very quickly and painlessly and its hard to tell that I ever had an accident. I can only recommend him.
