Dr. Pradeepta Chowdhury, MD

If you have a choice in where you get medical attention don’t choose him. I’m so upset with his lack of support and medical knowledge, I do t have the words to express myself. Please , please do not put your life in his hands. Find yourself a good DR. Unless you are interested in poor medical attention don’t see him.

I find Dr. Chowdhury to be a very good Doctor. I am confident under his care. He listens, is thorough, is not rushed, answers all my questions and is genuinely concerned. He admits when he doesn't know or is unsure but will do research to find out, and lets me know. I am always able to get an appointment quickly and never wait very long to see him in his waiting room. The office is clean and uncluttered. His staff is very helpful and friendly. I have had trouble with getting my prescriptions filled twice and not sure exactly why that is, but I have an upcoming appointment and will ask. I have seen a couple other physicians in town and Dr. Chowdhury works very well for me.

Women, stay away from this doctor. He can be very inappropriate and ask about your sex life that has nothing to do with your visit. I felt very uncomfortable and violated.

I have the unfortunate circumstance of having to visit w/ this MD on a regular basis and he continues to be smug and condescending towards me throughout my visits w/ him. He continues to repeat the same concerns over and over again even after we have discussed the matters for years. Sadly, Hilo has limited MDs available for its residents to consider without the stigma of being labeled a "bad patient" / bad reputation that follows them should one decide to seek another private provider.

Dr.Chowdhury is like a doctor should be.He is thorough and takes his time, and answers questions patiently and in detail. He is exceedingly careful with the medications he prescribes which gives the patient confidence in what poison he is to swallow! A fine doctor,I am most pleased that he has taken me as his patient. And I like that 4 legged 'receptionist' !

My wife and I have both benefited from the advice and care of Dr. Chowdhury. He is politely probing (which is good) and politely blunt with his advice (also good). We both highly recommend him.

Dr Chowdhery is a great Doctor. Takes time to discuss my physical health. He always checks my vital signs and blood test. If any problems with my health it is immediately taken care of . I have been a patient of Dr. Chowdhery for many years . His a very good doctor and cares about his patients.

I have been going to Dr. Chowdhury for about 7 years. The office staff is always very helpful at the front desk, on task in the patient room. The doctor has always been very knowledgable and I have never been rushed. I can talk easily with te doctor and he is engaging. Now if I could just figure out how the mafia works at the pharmacist all would be well. The cat is awesome.
