Dr. Prayag Barot, MD

Dr. did not take my severe abdominal issues seriously and my situation was cause for emergency laparoscopy. Office visit March 2025. Previous ER visit for severe upper and lower right abdominal pain, nausea and inability to eat for months. Dr looked at abdominal report but never cd I brought to office. Report inconclusive and doctor did not have any interest in finding the root cause of my severe pain. Walked out in pain, quickly found another Hackensack Meridian surgeon (David J. Dupree MD) who literally saved my life and did a laparoscopy as I had acute appendicitis with stool calcification, gallbladder removal "sludge" and adhesion removal.

Dr. Barot has a good name in his practice. He is great with patients.He listens and make sure patients feel secure in his treatment.

I had an acute appendicitis, that Dr. Barot did a laparoscopic surgery on. He made the correct diagnosis (that proved the pathology report after the surgery). The surgery went well. The care given was excellent, all my and my friends' questions were answered by the surgeon with great knowledge of the matter. I was VERY HAPPY when found almost no scars on my stomach. Dr. Barot did a perfect job, making it as cosmetic as possible. I would recommend Dr. Darot to any of my friend or relative. The after-surgery follow-up visit was quick and smooth, the doctor was careful removing the after-surgery gauze. Every time I had a question after my visit, I called the office, and was able to talk to Dr. Barot over the phone.I would rate the overall experience with Dr. Barot as excellent.

Dr. Barot did a hernia surgery on me. No muss, no fuss. All very smooth. Could not have been handleded or done better
