Can't get "referral girl" to do her job!

I have read the reviews for Dr. Bandy and I don't agree with some of them. I found Dr. Bandy to be matter of fact and to the point. Which is what I prefer from my Doctor. I asked many questions about my diagnosis and treatment. The Doctor responded to all of them in a professional and direct fashion. I detected none of the hostility or frustration that some of the other reviewers have described. He was kind and, well, to the point. His diagnosis was appropriate and I was prescribed the appropriate medications. His staff was helpful and friendly to me. Thank you Dr. Bandy and Staff!

What’s up with slamming the receptionist? She was friendly and very helpful!

There are several reasons such a rude and condescending, so called Doctor was able to keep patients. The main reason being Donna would see the patient first to restrict the time anyone had to suffer being in the same room with him. He appears shy at first, but then you realize he has to pretend that way because otherwise you would realize what a hateful and uncaring man he is and he wouldn’t be able to keep any patient. The real Bandy comes out when he is asked questions. He becomes annoyed and thinks it’s beneath him to answer questions. This could be a front he puts on because some questions he doesn’t know and he gives the wrong answers or all the answers I found on google are incorrect. I was taking a relative that I love and means the world to me to see him. She was hurting in various places, but didn’t have any pain in any of her joints and had very minimal to no damage to any of her joints. Her labs did show she had an increased rheumatoid factor in her blood that can be… associated with rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune diseases. He first said she may have arthritis, but it wasn’t rheumatoid arthritis and then decided it was after reviewing her X-ray that she had done in his office. I’m not sure how he comes to that conclusion since all other X-ray she had done and read by radiologists showed minimal to no joint damage. He starts her out on prednisone and close to the maximum of methotrexate. You should google the possible side effects and safety concerns of taking methotrexate if you're not familiar with the drug. We spoke with several other doctors and medical professionals and none could understand why he had even started her on methotrexate since he had no joint pain and minimal to no joint damage. I couldn’t handle someone who was so disrespectful, uncaring, condescending, rude, etc. and so she stopped seeing him. She stopped taking the medication he prescribed and her swelling went down almost overnight. I’m not saying you should stop taking your medication but maybe you should get a second opinion if you're concerned if the medication is helping or harming you.

The other reviewer slammed the receptionist, but I found her to be very professional and really funny. The nurse is a little eager to cut you off but Dr. Bandy was very thorough in his examination. He told me things other doctors had not. Recommend him for anyone seeking a good doctor who will be willing to work with you to find some relief for RA. I don't even mind waiting a little bit.

The receptionist at the clinic was the rudest human being I have ever came in contact with! She was slamming files and kicking chairs across the floor!
