Dr. Priya Thakker, MD

Dr. Thakker is the best she has done four mohs surgeries on me in the past eight years and I highly recommend her I’ve been dealing with skin cancer for years and I am glad to have her as my Doctor. I would give her ten stars.

Dr. Thakker is the best mohs surgeon in Monmouth County. She took care of my dad’s basal cell and everything healed so well! She was so pleasant and kind and made him feel comfortable. Her staff was easy to deal with and caring. I just had my first screening with her and it was painless.

One of the worst staff I have ever experienced. I had a mole removed and biopsied and had to call their office 2 weeks later and have still not received my results. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.

Dr. Thakker is an excellent dermatologist. The growth on my scalp that my prior dermatologist told me appeared to be nothing was something that she (went to her for second opinion) biopsied and it was a pre-cancerous growth. I am thankful it was removed rather than to have it grow and become a more painful surgery and more dangerous.

First, still getting undressed/dressed when doctor and assistant walk in (I was still halfway putting on gown). Second, I was in for a first time visit and full body scan. The entire exam took less time than me getting undressed and dressed. She looked at my back, rifled thru my scalp, and then had me lie down on table. Did a quick peek under the dressing gown, comment that I have a tan, and that was it. No measuring of my existing spots. Noted that I don't wear daily sunscreen and said I should. When I asked about a rash I get every once on a while, she didn't examine the area but said I should return when it occurs. Won't be back. Would not recommend.

The cream she prescribed cleared up my rash quickly . I had been to 2 other dermatologists that wasted my time. Dr. Thakker really knows her stuff! She was very professional and her office was very clean.

Dr. Thakker diagnosed and treated my mother's skin cancer. She did an amazing job! She is very kind and made sure my mom (who was very nervous) felt comfortable. I was very impressed with how everything healed so well. I can't thank her enough!

The best Dermatologist that I have ever seen. And I've seen more than 15 dermatologists in the last 20 years. She is thorough and really wants to find a diagnosis instead of randomly treating causes of the problem. I am so grateful that I have found her and her team!!!! The office staff is extremely courteous and worked very hard to find an appointment me that would not be over 1 month wait time. Dr. Priya Thakkar is fantastic!!!

Confident and competent. No scars after surgery. Come back to Boston!
