Dr. Priyanka Gait, MD

It's odd to think of a psychiatrist gas lighting you but that's what this doctor will do. If you don't say what she wants, she interrupts you then accuses you of having other problems. One time I politely told her I felt uncomfortable every time I came in and was feeling anxious, she kicked me out and told me to leave. Dangerous psychiatrist that shouldn't have a licence.

Initial contact with gait was complicated. She's very accusatory, argumentative, and confrontational. She like to use labels and she talks about billing and the info she needs to do so a lot. Billing was her primary concern during our meeting. Shes gives you an interrogation vs. a clinical assessment. She doesn't display any sincerity and she criticize you if you do not say what she wants you to say. Not a good doc more like a corrupt persecutor looking to make money from her patients more so than help them. She shouldn't be a first choice more like a last resort.

Priyanka Gait placed my child on Prozac, then never followed up - even after my child was put on a 72-hour psychiatric hold for suicidal ideation while under her care. Further, she cancelled an appointment after the hold - I asked her office to have her call me as I was concerned about my child. When I later asked the office why she never called me, they informed me that Dr. Gait had quit the office with no notice to them — which left patients under her care to locate a new psychiatrist with zero transition time. This is dangerously unprofessional for the well-being & safety of her patients.

I suffer from bipolar depression, depression, anxiety, among other issues. I was abruptly cut off from ALL my medications (which is very dangerous, any doctor can tell you you should be eased off slowly) when Dr. Priyanka Gait became the new doctor at my location in Ventura. I had previously three other doctors treating me for my condition and never had any problems at all over 2 years until she came in the picture. Dr. Priyanka Gait automatically called me a liar because of my 90 day prescriptions that my insurance makes me get or else I have to pay full cost, Dr. Priyanka Gait wouldn't even look into my records over the last 2 years showing that I was right. I went to my next appointment hoping for better understanding and that maybe she looked into my file deeper, but Dr. Priyanka Gait said, "Why did you even bother coming in today?" She was totally unprofessional and really disrespectful. She even called in someone from the office into my private meeting with a doctor with her… which was totally crossing the line. I had to walk out. Dr. Priyanka Gait does not know how to conduct herself in a professional setting.
