VERY poor communication

He is cold and robotic, with no bedside manner. His LPN is the same way, but she's cold and dismissive. I waited MONTHS to get an appointment with him, only to not be taken seriously and dismissed. He will NEVER see me again!

I found Dr Cai to be very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and understand. The staff is friendly and helpful

Recent Stretta surgery, very impressed w/dr Cai and Emory Hospital staff/Clifton Rd., very good treatment w/attention to prevention of infection, etc, great job! Successful/no meds/problems!

As far as I know, he is excellent on performing procedures. But, his communications were awful, consistently over optimistic. And his approach to chronic diarrhea was to treat the symptoms rather than the cause.

Dr. Cai really impressed me with the extensive testing he ordered to find the source of my lifetime issue with constipation. However, it wasn't until I scheduled a follow-up about a year after my last visit in an act of desperation requesting consideration to have a portion of my colon removed that he finally explained the issue isn't in my colon. I was frustrated that this wasn't clearly explained after my testing (at this appointment, he showed me the results of the test and explained them). While I believed for a year he wasn't able to source my problem, but in reality he just didn't explain it. I'm not sure if this was a communication issue or what.Again, I was very pleased with the testing process, so if you choose to visit Dr. Cai, just be sure to ask LOTS of questions and thoroughly review with him any test results!
