Dr. Rachel Pauline Mepani, MD

I came to see her for a preventative checkup and screening. My mom had cancer and so I wanted to get myself checked out. I enjoyed her as a doctor and felt she listened and provided great care. Her staff at Digestive Health on Howell Mill are fantastic! It’s not a fun procedure but it was far easier and nicer than I imagined. One note: and this is in general, cause I have experienced this a couple times in other places: please wait until patients come out of anesthesia more before telling them how it went. When I came to, I was already talking and don’t even remember getting my paperwork from them, but I did have it. I just want to be more coherent at the time.

Dr. Rachel Mepani provided no useful diagnosis or suggestions for my chronic stomach issues. She lacked listening skills and/or blatantly ignored my comments (I'm uncertain which), leaving me to repeat myself multiple times. I DO NOT recommend this doctor!

My intent is to help anyone who's in search for the right gastroenterologist. My experience with Dr. Mepani was stressful. She stays rushed and combative under pressure. Although my stomach pain was worsening, she told her assistant I should keep doing what I'm doing. Dr. Mepani didn't know what I was doing. After my endoscopy, I had sharp chest and throat pains. She was too rough with the tool. I was in the ER the next day. (Two days before my business trip) A CT Scan and X-Rays were taken. Although she was informed, she didn't call or offer help. No diagnosis was given for my stomach pain. Not sure if she knew what to do. I invested time and a lot money for no good results. Dr. Rachel Mepani is a physician I would recommend to No One.
