Dr. Rachel West, MD

Dr. West is an incredible, thorough, and kind physician. I went to her with a specific issue that she solved immediately and now have been seeing her for three years as my primary care physician. She takes time to explain everything, answer questions, and gives clear directions for after care. She has a terrific bed side manner and is well-versed in many cutting edge and alternative approaches. So happy to have found her.

The management and staff makes billing and other errors most of the time, and the office manager was very rude. They charged my card without my permission, didn’t refund erroneous charges for months until very times consuming complaints and dealing with the office about it, made more mistakes and it goes on and on.

Undisciplined in mode and attitude - haphazard. There are great voids in her education

You can get an appointment the next day because she always has openings. Had to wait an hour past appointment time. Office staff is unprofessional. Doctor is unprofessional. Very poor follow up. Will never return to this office.

Dr. Rachel West is the most knowledgable and caring physician I have ever met. I am from Arkansas and have been ill for over 2 years now. I have seen many doctors, including doctors at Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic ( a waste of time and money) in the course of trying to find a diagnosis and why I have been feeling so bad. Between Dr. West and another specialist at Stanford University my prayers have been answered. I finally have a diagnosis and am beginning to get treatment. She spent an enormous amount of time with me going over the MRI's, x-rays, labs, etc., that I brought in. Dr. West did not at one time seem in a hurry. She gave me so much insight of what was going on in my body and how to start treating it. I was so impressed with all the information she gave me, which I did not receive from the MD's I have seen in the past.In my opinion as a patient and a nurse Dr. Rachel West is a true asset to the medical profession.

She prescribed a medicine that my child is deathly allergic to. And yes, this info was in the chart

I attended for a digestion problem which nobody else could solve. I had various tests and treatment done over three weeks. The results were 100% improved. I never expected that, especially when every other doctor was just telling me I had an "irritable bowel". Thanks Dr. West.

This doctor made me very seriously ill due to a bad chelation protocol she prescribed for me. I had become ill last year when my dentist drilled out 2 amalgam fillings without protection. Following a total dental revision to remove the remaining mercury and other metals from my mouth, I saw Dr. West to oversee my chelation. On my initial visit, she ordered a DMPS challenge test which is used to measure the amount of mercury excreted in the urine following an IV chelating agent being administered. For one thing, they didn't do a 24 hr urine collection following the chelator. Instead, they only collected one sample, so the results were invalid. She recommended twice weekly IV DMPS infusions at $250 each. I got 4 more after that and felt progressively worse after each one. They assured me that it was merely a yeast die-off reaction which they said was common. I got to the point where I couldn't even function. I couldn't remember anything, I had neuropathy, high blood pressure, insomnia,… my thought processes were slowed down to a halt, I could barely speak, depression, muscle twitches, panic attacks, anxiety, and more than I can list here. Everytime I called their office to talk with the dr., her staff would tell me that she's not available and would get back to me and didn't. I talked to Dr. West once by phone the entire time I was her patient. This woman does not know what she's doing. She's a DAN dr and is probably harming a lot of autistic kids. I also found her bedside manner to be very aloof and detached. Their billing practices are very unorthodox and it is not a professional, well-run office. If people decide to see this dr, they should educate themselves about their condition and treatment beforehand.

The waiting room experience can be really bad, especially when it is filled with autistic children. They need to notify people before they arrive if she is behind in her schedule.Aside from that, she's a proponent of treatments which not only haven't been proven to be beneficial, but they wreaked havoc on me. I spent about $2,000 out of pocket between three visits, many expensive tests, expensive treatments, and expensive supplements. The condition which brought me in there actually worsened, and I came to the conclusion that while she practices some interesting and groundbreaking forms of alternative medicine, she's not terribly thorough or well informed. Two medications were misprescribed for me, and were it not for my own investigations, I would not have found out this out. I have little to no confidence in this doctor.
