Dr. Rachelle Hotz, MD

This doctor would always tell me that I was entitled. She would use her meetings with me to lecture me about how it was wrong for me to use student loans to pay for my education. She would always tell me that it was wrong for me to expect others to pay for my education. She made feel like I was not entitled to the degrees I earned because I did not work for the money to pay for these degrees. Even though I had a doctorate degree and masters degree, she suggested that I be willing to work at a restaurant, as a phlebotomist, or lab technician. This woman also misdiagnosed me. She gave me a diagnosis and inappropriately medicated me based on the fact that I would not come up with the "solutions" that she thought were appropriate for my life. She thought I should be appropriately problem solving my situation by choosing to work at a restaurant, phlebotomist, or lab technician in order to pay off my student loans rather than continue in my degree program in school. I was making mostly As in… this degree program. The claimed that I had a certain diagnosis because I was showing her that I could not problem solve my situation appropriately. I would pretend to be asleep just to avoid seeing her. I was afraid of her most of the time. I would usually dread seeing her. I counted my blessings on days when she was not able to make time available in her busy day to see me. She was about the only person I did not get along with during my stay at the hospital. I like almost all the nurses and counselors at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Dr Hotz is a cold and hostile person with absolutely no bedside manner. She did not know my case history or demonstrate any interest in my history she gave meds and nothing else. She is not compassionate and is very dismissive and aggressive. After several visits I changed doctors. Best decision I ever made.

One of the worst psychiatrists out there. Unprofessional, uncaring, and seems only interested in pushing meds.
