Dr. Rafael Alberto Cabrera, MD

I joked with Dr. Cabrera that I never wanted to meet him, but I am so glad I did! After losing my first pregnancy at 27 years old in an emergency surgery for a ruptured ectopic (in which I lost one of my fallopian tubes), my obgyn referred me to Dr. Cabrera for an HSG. While the HSG showed that my remaining tube was clear, it revealed a new problem -- a uterine polyp. I was devastated. A month later, he performed a saline ultrasound to confirm the location of the polyp and scheduled surgery. He removed the polyp during a quick out-patient procedure at Winnie Palmer Hospital and gave me to green light to begin trying to get pregnant again. Four months later, I was back in his office for a fertility consultation. After more bloodwork, I was put on 100 mg of Clomid with an Ovidrel trigger shot. I got pregnant on my FIRST round (now 28 years old). Seeing my little baby in the 6 week ultrasound (performed by Dr. Samuel Brown) was an incredible moment. Words can't describe how happy I am… now that I am finally pregnant again after a long journey to conception. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Cabrera's care. His staff in Orlando has always been supportive and kind. Dr. Cabrera helped me stay positive and always tried to allay my fears. I am so appreciative that he intervened and moved forward with treatment.

Looking for medical assistance to get a baby is one of the most stressful experiences I've had in my life. And not talk about the financial cost of it! But Dr. Rafael Cabrera, his NP Gina and the rest of the staff of IVF Florida in Miami Lakes, have made this process nicer for my husband and I and we are just so thankful with God for finally providing us a professional with a great human quality too. We just started this path with this doctor but the thoughful, realistic, clear, compasive and nice way he explained us in detail all the issues related in our case, already make us feel relieved and confident. I highly recommend this place and Dr Cabrera! They do really care about the patients, not just about the money! During the first appointment they took more than one hour and half with us and it was quality time!
