Dr. Ragui Wassef Sedeek, MD

I saw Dr. Sedeek when he practiced in Palm Springs, around 2014. It was my great good fortune that I had chosen him as my retinologist PRIOR to my torn retina emergency. I was losing sight in my eye as though a room darkening shade was descending! Highly concerned I saw my opthamologist who immediately arranged an appt with Sedeek. My retina was torn and perforated and so I went to surgery within days. Ragui is the BEST, a result of my already having screened him with prior regular preventative appointments. His credentials are both superb and rare here. Perhaps more importantly, he's a really good man.

After two failed detached retina surgery's from a different surgeon, Dr. Sedeek with some extra time and work was able to repair the damage and give me the best possible version that I could get after having the surgeries. Dr. SEDEEK performed a delicate eye surgery competently recently. We await a longer term outcome. Unfortunately his support staff is not well trained, immature, and really unprofessional in most cases. He has an anchor person who knows what she is doing but the rest are really versions of high school girls in the schoolyard. The doctor himself would do well to better coordinate with the ophthalmologist with primary patient care. In my case this was not done on a timely basis at some risk. Recommend in hospital surgery over surgery centers. Issues with El Mirador Surgery Center and their anesthetists.
