My mother had the same doctor for over 41 years and he passed away. She asked me to check out some doctors for her since I work in the medical field so I did. She liked the information that was listed and had talked to the office and the female doctor did not take her supplemental insurance but she was told the he did. She made an appointment which took over 6 weeks in the meantime she had gotten over 5 pages of forms she had to fill out from their office and her apt. was Monday Aug. 5 and Friday she got call from his office about her apt and coming early because some elevators were out. She was to call back to confirm the change in times and all. She tried for over 4 hours to call back and by that time the answering service told her they had closed at noon on Friday. she had been trying to call prior to noon and never got answer at all. Monday she showed up and gave them the papers and all and was told that he DOES NOT take her Humana insurance. This is unacceptable… as the way she stated she felt like she had been kicked to the curb. She talked to Humana and they have it that he takes their insurance and in looking tonight I see it is still listed as an insurance he accepts. I would have to say that I would not waste my time trying to see him because the same thing may happen to you.

Caring and thorough doctor. Actually listens to his patients. Touched on so many issues in the first visit itself. Would recommend him to any patient looking for a doctor

I was sent to him for a disability determination today, and was ushered in to an examination room for way over an hour and a half. I heard many patients come and go in neighboring exam rooms. When he finally entered the room he didn't even introduce himself and looked at me with utter disdain. I've had no less than 3 strokes in the last six months and was trying to explain what was going on. He had ZERO patience to listen and literally asked if I was faking! He barked his questions rudely and when he thought he got an answer he didn't like or wasn't specific enough, he just blew me off like yesterdays news. I felt my blood pressure rising fast and unnecessarily. (There are issues with short and long term memory) I came very close to just walking out. He was brash, rude, uncaring and NOT professional at all. No bedside manner whatsoever. You'd be better off going to a veterinarian than this so called Dr. folks. I filed a complaint with SSI Determination office and plan to take it one… step further. Yeah maybe he was having a bad day, but there was no excuse for how he treated me. I wouldn't recommend this man to anyone with a soul. Common human decency is beyond his capability, and my actual rating of him should be a negative 5 stars. The staff were good but he sucked eggs!

Dr. Saralaya has been my elderly parents' doctor for more than a decade. They trust him implicitly & know that his goal is for them to have the best life possible in their remaining years. He explains terms & procedures in understandable terms, was firm (as needed) with my father who has a long history of ignoring medical advice, & has a genuine relationship with them. He keeps up to date on medical developments & listens closely to patients. We would highly recommend him!

Would not recommend

I only wish I could have him as my private doctor while I go traveling...He takes his time and is geniunly concern not just a hurry in and oh give you a pill for that... great bedside manners and very thorough...

Dr. Raj Saralaya is very professional with an excellent bedside manner. He answered all our questions and didn't hurry us through. His staff was very friendly. This was our first visit. We are going to switch from our doctor we have had for 16 years to Dr. Saralaya.
