Dr. Rajeswari Kanthan, MD

I took my daughter here for about 8 months after moving to South Jersey. I would not recommend her to anyone, she was very rude and barely spoke or explained anything during the appointments. She misdiagnosed my daughter 3 separate times and then luckily I found another dr that takes my insurance. She'd also over prescribe antibiotics regardless of it being just a cold. She has 0 bed side manner. She told me my daughter had herpes when it was clearly eczema and I had 2 other specialists who stated it as eczema. I was appalled at how she seemed to make things up.

For insurance reasons our child's pediatrician has changed many times. Of all the pediatricians we've had Dr. Kanthan has by far taken the most time to listen to our concerns and has been the most empathetic. So far we like this doctor very much.

My son has been under the care of Dr. Rajeswari Kanthan for more than 2 years. We are switching, as there are a few concerning moments. 1. When my son was 2 years of age, he had ear infections, Dr. Rajeswari Kanthan was prescribing him antibiotics after antibiotics, and it was not helping us. I had to turn to a Chiropractor Michael Sherman, who was wonderful. And helped us immensely. My son was not taking antibiotics since we started going to Dr. Sherman. 2. During the conversations with the Doctor, I had a feeling that she is more concerned with her reputation than the child's health (f.e. the same situation with ear infections, and nasal congestions, For a second time in a row the Doctor referred us to see an allergist (My son had his allergy test not so long ago), and I decided to cancel, as I believed it was not vital in that situation. When Dr. Kanthan called supposedly to check on my son's health, she had been reprimanding me for cancelling the allergy test for about half an… hour. It left a negative impression, as I want to hear how she can help my son, when he is sick. 3. The last drop was when a few weeks ago, I called the office to ask a particular question about poison ivy reaction. I was told to bring my son in. Over the phone I asked the assistant if the Doctor would be able to see my son, as we would be pressed for time. They said not a problem. When we came in, I asked one of the assistants Jennifer to let the Doctor know that we have only half an hour, and that I had just one question to ask. 40 minutes later, Jennifer indicated that she didn't let the Doctor know my request, and nothing she could do, as the Doctor was busy. Dr. Kanthan saw my son that day, the visit lasted 4 minutes, and we had to wait for 50 minutes. It felt very wrong. I indicated that I would officially complain on Jennifer, as her behavior was not professional and she was clearly giving me medical advice. Dr. Kanthan in return sent me a letter that she didn't want to take care of my son any more. When I tried to reach her, she would give the receiver to her assistant Jennifer, which is rude for me. So in general, my impressions are negative. I am a Mom, who believes in holistic approach to healing. I wouldn't recommend the Williamstown Pediatrics for the Care of your Child.

Dr Kanthan and her exceptional staff are wonderful!! I would highly recommend them to anyone, and I have. They are kind,curtious and take the time to listen to all your needs. The office staff is the best around!! I would give that office a 5 star if I could!
