Stay away. Horrible. Liar. Has no clue what he is doing - but Is a true Carilion corporate flunky. Anything to keep you hooked for Carillon cash flowl. I personnally experienced this - my comments are not a hit job on him. This is for real.

I would recommend to any one in need of his service. Treats me as if I have been seeing him for many years.

After severely injuring my shoulder and seeing multiple specialists, I fell into a deep depression feeling that I would be in severe pain for the indefinite future, only getting relief from the strong opiates all the other doctors prescribed. Dr. Brown looked me in the face and promised me that he would get me out of pain and fix the problem. He made good on his promise and has been nothing short of a Godsend for me. In short, the man is an expert and has a pristine bedside manner.

Dr. Brown is atentive, thurough, and complete. Very happy wit him an his colleages.

I have seen him for quite some time.He recognized I had become suicidle due to pain and I was rude and disrespectful.He diagnosed my problem due to a surgery that went bad. Surgeon recommended by other Dr. He saw me at my worst. Procedures I had on his recomendation didn't help due to amount scar tissue. He has always been respectful and polite.I feel comfortable with him and have carried on conversations that had nothing to do with my condition, him just being interested in in me.I have trust issues and I trust him. He can be very direct and so can I but I like that.I take powerful pain meds and he and his staff have always been thorough and answered any questions I have had. He has returned calls to me maybe not asap but he is a Dr. with other patients and I have never made a petty call to expect a answer either. I have no problems with his staff they have been good to me and worked with me on appts.His nurses have always returned calls. I always volunteer patches they never have to… ask. Overall I have no complaints and I am direct and honest with them and they are to me.I have not seen my medical records in along time but I have not read anything that I would consider to be exagerated or a lie. I have a lot of respect for him and his staff. If you don't take meds as prescribed in this day and time he has to protect himself and the hospitals interests to.

We were told to be there at 10- showed up, waited 15 minutes, which is OK. Then, asked to go in the back and sit with a warm towel for 45! After an hour of waiting, we asked what was happening and were told the previous patient was too important and had to be handled. Well, why was this not communicated prior to an hour of waiting? Then, the staff had the nerve to tell us we got the apt, time wrong, that it was 10:30 and not 10 AM! In summary, the office cannot communicate among themselves, let alone to patients. The apparent disregard for a patient and their time is appalling. When Dr. Brown did come out, all he did was offer excuses and try to convince us others were more important- shouldn't every patient and their time be valued? I am unclear as to what type of Dr. this man actually is, but as for a man with respect for his patients and their time and any kind of bedside manner, well, I would say SEEK ALTERNATIVE CARE!

Yes, he can be a bit arrogant however he is VERY knowledgeable in many areas and so I'm okay with that. He is quite no-nonsense and does not mince words. He is thorough and I value his professional integrity and trust his opinion completely. I disagree with the person who said he was rude though---perhaps that person did not care for him when he and his office insisted that he see that patient BEFORE refilling a prescription...as it should be given the misuse of prescription meds nowadays. Very satisfied with his straightforward evaluations.

Dr. Brown and his staff dont accept or dish out any nonsense.Dr. Brown knows his stuff, and does what he does well.He could see a patient more often and spend more time, however.
