Dr. Randy Wayne Head, MD

Dr. Head carefully listened to my problems and went over ways to reduce them. I finally found a real doctor who cares & listens, not just write a script & yell next! This is at his new office in Columbia, La where he has all new staff and nurses who really seem to care and are knowledgeable. His Monroe office was run by ladies who I think wanted to be somewhere else.

Doc showed great sympathy for my problems and was worried for my general well being

It is true one has to wait a while to see Dr. Head But you get what you wait for, & you get what you Pay for.I have always taking all 3 of my kids to see Dr. Head since 2000.Last winter I took to a Peds M.D. by my house, because it can Take awhile to get in to see Dr. Head. She gave him No Antibiotics despite his having fever, green to yellow Nasal Drainage, and a Terrible Headache. I Called her office and her Nurse told me to give it time, that it is a virus and it would get Better in a couple more days.I called Dr. Heads office and he did not have Any Appointments, but I was told I could Be a Walk in. It did take us 2 hours to see him, but when he Examined him, he was Concerned Enough to Send us to the hospital to get Lab and sinus CT.He had us wait for the Results. When he got the Results, he told us to go to the ER for Admission. They admitted him to the hospital. He had a Bad Sinus infection and it had gone into the Eye Socket. The Doctor in the hospital said had I not seen Dr.… Head who found this, the infection Would have gone into the Brain to and and he Could have lost his Eye and could have lost his Life.I do not care how Long it takes to see Dr. Head.He saved my Sons life..If people would only go to office whir needed to be seen and not for a Runny rose or sneeze He probably would not have to Rush patients Through!

(1)Helped take my child away by backing up greedy ppl & not standing by what he said to me. (2)He let my child's eardrum burst by not checking ears on previous visits! He would NOT give antibiotic shots even w/burst eardrum! Every visit (hundreds) we had to wait more than an hour, sometimes all day!

Nothing but a cattle drive going on at Dr. Head's office. Takes forever to get in...I've waited as much as 4 hours to get in to see someone and that's just to get out of the waiting room. Never seen anything like it. Certainly there are better options than this sorry excuse for a Dr.'s office.
