Dr. Ranisha Gautam Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is a engaging, thoughtful doctor who I found to replace a long time doctor who opted to go "concierge." After cross referencing several online resources and several recommendations from trusted friends, I chose this practice and Dr. Patel. I was searching for a physician that has excellent credentials with expertise to support and treat the needs I needed. In an era where everyone thinks they know something because the internet says so, she demonstrated the temperament necessary to provide effective and assuring care and advice that addressed my concerns and desires without compromising a high level of care. It wasn't necessarily exactly what I wanted/hoped to hear but it was indeed what I needed to hear. It was thoughtful, compassionate but forceful. These are all things that I value as a patient. No longer as fit as I was in my 20's but wise enough to shop for a doctor who is invested in my success as a patient. Hoping to be a patient for life!

Dr. Patel is knowledgeable, a good listener and communicator, and has calm manner. I feel comfortable discussing health care issues with her and have confidence in her advice.

I think some of the reviews are from her personality being a bit reserved and maybe off-standish . I'm from the school of thought that I want a doctor who is competent and honest, not a teddy bear. She's not nasty or rude and pretty much answers my questions and addresses my medical issues.

I don't think this DR has much experience dealing with the older generation. She doesn't listen to her patients and you finally feel that she is rushing you through with no real concern.
