Dr. Raul Valcarcel, MD

Dr. Raul Valcarcel in my humble opinion rates among the very top of the list for Doctors that care, treat, and listen to his patients' concerns. There just isn't enough praise or compliments I could compose to relate those feelings. To state that he helped me with my medical needs is an understatement. He isn't one of those Doctors that run the practice as a business for profit. He stays true to the Hypocritical Oath of Physicians. "I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant: I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow. I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism. I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug. I will… not be ashamed to say "I know not," nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient's recovery. I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given to me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God. I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems if I am to care adequately for the sick. I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure. I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm. If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help."

Dr. V is such a nice and kind man and physician. He is supportive, responsive, and caring. I am grateful for his care during a recent illness and am glad that he was recommended to me by an acquaintance who is one of his long-time patients. Highly recommend!

Monroe Medical Associates is the best medical office I have ever been to. I have been a patient for many years. I would never consider anywhere else. Doctor V. is the best doctor I have ever seen. His staff is very friendly & accommodating. I can honestly say that I have never had to wait more then 5 minutes in the waiting room before I was seen. If you are looking for a doctor or considering switching from the the doctor you seen now this is the place to go!!!

Thanks to Dr. Valcarcel I have been able to enjoy life again...

Dr.V was very friendly spent time listening to my issues and concerns.Had great bedside manner and his office staff is very helpful and friendly the ladies all were so nice.I would tell my friends and family if looking for new doctor look no further.....DR.V....best doctor and easy to make appointment.you don't have to wait a month.

His bedside manner is awful. He is rude and obnoxious. He has an attidude that I didn't like at all. He talks down to you as well. The office is disorganized and they don't know what they are doing. I would never go back in there again.

I do NOT recommend going to this Doctor! He made up information on a form that I needed completed (really, how long does it take to take blood pressure? why make that us?). He also did not follow up on a test result in time, and when I called him, he sent me to the wrong specialist, then claimed that he had never received the paperwork. Argh. Avoid!
