Dr. Raveen K. Saluja, MD

Dr. Saluja is very engaging, personable and perfectly capable physician. I read some of these comments and find the negative reviews seem to have more to do with the office/group malfunction v.s. her capabilities as a doctor. I feel very cared for and she is practicing evidence based medicine. Have been under her care for both preventative and illness care and was pleased with both experiences. I do agree with some of the comments regarding Saratoga Family Phyisicans as a whole, I absolutely cannot stand the office/group (disorganized, not the best follow-up with labs, tests, different staff each visit), but I understand that it is increasingly more difficult for primary care providers to practice without being a partner or employee of a larger network and see this more as a reflection of Saratoga Hospital not vesting more into the practice as opposed to any fault of Dr. Saluja. I don't know if she is taking new patients, but I would highly reccomend her to anyone in the area.

Dr. Saluja has been my primary physician for a few years now. She is always connected with what is going on with my health and asks follow-up questions on previous issues and discussions. She is open to alternate approaches (I have an alternative diet which she supports). She is very personable and easy to talk to.

while dr. saluja is a lovely woman I find her quite wanting as a physician I have seen her perhaps 4 time, not till the 3rd visit did she do blood work. I had blood work, ekg, echocardiogram, and did not get results of any of these tests. she did stress my high blood pressure, put me on 5mg lisinopril which rendered me with may problems and stopped after 5 days. unfortunately I did have a blood pressure incident and went first to Saratoga hospital transferred to Albany med. hospital for 4 days many tests given fortunately all negative, blood pressure still very high.given 2.5 lisonopril lipotor cholesterol very high and a coated baby aspirin, as I have gastro problems. all this nor her fault, but really not giving me info about all the tests is unheard of.

At a f2f appt., I must say Dr. Saluja shows her absolute best. She is open, very receptive, and encourages thorough follow up. However, I am being referred out for what seems to be very basic conditions that were always historically treated my my PCP. So, now I have all these specialists I have to see which means additional co pays with money that I don't have. So as far as my appts. With her go its definitely the best part of my experiencewith her. The cons lie in the follow up. My meds either not being called in in time, not being called in at all...our the dosage being changed altogether. None of these changes being discussed with me first btw. Also, I don't know WHERE this practice finds the staff that answers and directs incoming calls, but they are about the rudest women I've ever encountered. Not professional at all! And seem annoyed that they are assisting me- as an active patient. I started thinking maybe its just me, but the fact is, I know 2 other active patients and… one "ex patient" that see other docs at this practice, and they say the exact same thing. This really needs to change. This is pretty basic, I mean I would think it is, anyway. So, to Sum this up...she is awesome during in office visits. But the follow up is a bit ridiculous, and when I take the bull my the horns and follow up myself I get one of the many rude women who answers/directs calls. Its very discouraging. It is NOT EASY EVER (For me anyway) .to change my PCP, but something HAS to change in this practice. I haven't reached out to administration, but honestly it may be the next thing I have to do. Just a couple minor changes could make this particular doc's ratings go VERY high IMO.
