Dr. Ray Martin Hargreaves, MD

had been suffering with so much pain & been to the emergency room twice with no results. I was mad, frustrated & worried because I knew something was wrong with no answer. I was then referred to Dr Hargreaves for help! I was so impressed with Dr. Hargreaves professionalism, expertise & questioning me for a solution to my pain. As of right now I am recovering & suffering less. I would highly recommend Dr. Hargreaves & staff for your needs their & prompt services.

I didn't get to choose my doctor. I went into the ER with what they thought was a intestinal blockage. I had been in severe pain for hours and had a CT scan done. The ER staff were horrible (put a tube down my throat to test for things when I had the CT scan results in my hand), but luckily they finally listened and brought in a surgeon. Dr. Hargreaves was patient and kind from the first minute as he explained what would be done (when i was in pain and my mom was a worried mess). He did an exploratory abdominal surgery and found that it wasn't a blockage, but a blood clot causing my intestines to stop working. I don't know exactly what he had to do during the surgery, but he said he saw the intestines start to work again before he put them back and sewed me up. He then visited me in the hospital daily to check on me and to make sure my intestines were working before I went home. He was patient in explaining everything to me and my family. He never talked to us like we didn't… understand or shouldn't ask questions (like we have experienced with other doctors). He was very friendly and kind. He put us at ease in a stressful situation. Follow up was easy and even after I've been well past his care I called in with a question and the nurse in his office answered it and was very nice and helpful. He really made me feel cared about, taken care of and respected. And I am really glad he was the surgeon on call when I had to have this done.

He is very professional . Explains the procedures so the patient Can understand. Has saved my life more than once.

I was sent to Dr. Hargreaves with an emergency problem. He got me right in, was very personable, gave me good explanations/details, followed up with me. I would highly recommend him as a general surgeon.

Here is a doctor that knows the best source of information in diagnosing a patient is listening to and examining the patient. I have 25 years of operating room nursing and anesthesia experience so have seen his great surgical technique many times. Now having been a patient I have experienced his superb bedside manner. I highly recommend this surgeon without hesitation.

Poor surgical technique and post-op care. Necessitated a second surgery due to inadequate/poor technique. Unprofessional to me and my family. As an R.N., I would definitely NOT recommend him.
