Poor bedside manner
Self-verified patient of Dr. Raymond W Acus - Posted on June 1st, 2019
I had a torn meniscus and arthritis and a lot of pain from the torn meniscus. I’m getting ready for surgery and he says he doubts this surgery is going to help because of the arthritis but he’ll do it anyway! What a way to relax your patient! Very poor bedside manners and you will be at his office for two hours for a five minute visit. Had good results from the surgery
WORST SURGEON, HUGE EGO & TERRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER
Self-verified patient of Dr. Raymond W Acus - Posted on January 19th, 2019
HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER! Dr. Acus gave up on my relative's complex joint, just wanted to cut off the limb, wouldn't even recommend another surgeon to us to receive a second opinion. As a fellow healthcare provider, after seeing the behavior by Acus-- his bedside manner (lack there of) and overall treatment/plan for my family member I wouldn't recommend anyone to allow this man to operate on their dog or even apply a band-aid, as his work will only make your situation worse.
Great Doctor terrible office staff
Self-verified patient of Dr. Raymond W Acus - Posted on July 30th, 2018
Dr Acus did a great job on my hip many years ago, also going to do my knee replacement in the near future, that was until I injured my good knee and the best they could do is an appointment 6 weeks out left a message for Dr's nurse she called 3 days later by that time I figured out via the internet that Crystal Clinic has an orthopedic emergency care ( never given this option), while at the emergency care (great staff) was asked when my appointment was told them 6 weeks staff said they would call Acus office see if they could get it moved up for me, that was a negative overheard Acus's scheduler complain that I called three time and there was nothing they could do for me. So I moved on to another doctor who would work with me to get me in ASAP In short Dr Acus staff could not give a darn about the pain you are in or how much you are suffering, so your office staff cost you a knee replacement and a loyal patient, so doc if you read this it was not you I fired it was your staff

I was in a near-fatal auto accident with many injuries. Dr. Acus got the job of rehabilitating the compound fracture of my ankle. Considerable foreign material had to be cleaned out first. Dr. Acus was very diligent in cleaning it up as shown by the fact that I never got infected. I received a copy of my health records from the hospital and was impressed by the difficulty presented by the injuries to the ankle. The doctor seems to have done an excellent job since my ankle is fully functional today (1.5 years later). I would choose Dr. Acus again.
