Dr. Hilliard. Would go to no other Urologist.

After undergoing radical prostatectomy at Johns Hopkins of Baltimore in 1994. The surgery was successful in removing the cancer. But when the catheter was removed I was unable to dispel urine after many 100 mile trips back to JH in horrific discomfort over the next months while receiving dilations and installing numerous catheters including attempted self catheterization to no avail I made an appointment with Dr Hillyard who stated he would like help but would not be ale since it would difficult at best to follow up some other surgeons work.I pleaded with him telling what I was going thru and that I was very concerned also about my kidneys as ressult of urine backup stating I was without a choice. .He agreed to scope examine me upon which he agreed that I needed emergency surgery.Since I had some food earlier it couldn't be then. he then tried to help me by means through transrethal cystoscope procedure I . the next morning I called his office Marcy Bayles insisted he would not be… available I asked to speak to the nurse upon which when I explained that I was unable to expel she said she would like for me to hold for a few minutes in which Dr Hillyard came on and asked if I had consumed anything and instructed me to go dirrectly to the hospital for surgery. after which the following week I was finally free of the catheter. Upon reporting the situation to JH Dr Carter he said he hoped I had the best surgeon in the word to hope for success behind his surgery . to which I called back later to say that I must have had the best which approximately 18yrs. later I feel great satisfaction and gratitude. PS. I was 56 then Im 74 now.
