Dr. Raymund Untalan, MD

Terminated me after 9 years because I complained about his rude nurse and incompetent staff not putting my appointments into computer, making me show up for appts, having to wait for someone to call them and get the orders this has been happening all this year, 2015. Even a lab person suggested i speak to doctor about his nurse because she fails to put labs and appts in, and they're tired of it. Final straw was hateful nurse rolling eyes and mocking me to office manager, 2 ft from me, angrily and wagging her head around.(she was also late to work that day, as was receptionist) They've made sure no other doctor will accept me by demonizing me for taking the truth. I was hysterical from such ugliness from a health care professional. I tolerated her for a year before speaking to him. I have had take my husband to appointments because nurse only behaves when a third person is in the room. I asked that she apologize, and was terminated a week later, in the middle of a paralyzing illness.

Dr Untalan is such a refreshing change from most doctors nowdays. He takes the time to really get to know you and your health. He listens and is extremely intelligent and gives you options. He is a five star doctor.

We appreciate him researching my husband's disease and making sure he has the best care possible to manage the disease. I totally trust his judgment and he has never been wrong in the ten years we have seen him. He refers to specialists after explaining what he thinks it is. When I developed issues, he listened and asked many questions. When I had to be hospitalized, I felt I was in good hands and recovered without the serious side effects I feared. I am grateful to have such an excellent doctor.

This site does not show Dr. U's United States education. He did his internship and residency at SUNY King County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. He ranked 5th in his class in medical school. I've only been seeing him for a short time, but after several years of seeing family physicians and podiatrists, for severe foot cramps, who either became glassy eyed and dismissed me, or prescribed some unhelpful drug, Dr. U tested for anemia, and low and behold. We are now proceeding to schedule tests that anemia indicates I need to have. My only complaint is that my mind does not work as fast his and I have trouble keeping up.
