Dr. Rebecca H Liu, MD

Dr. Liu is rude and dismissive. She contradicted herself from the previous appointment with my father, and when I asked a simple question to clear up the discrepancy, she actually became angry which was shocking. She has a lot to learn about professionalism and bedside manner. We found a different pulmonologist, because we do not trust her with my father's care.

I thought Dr. Liu was great! She knew exactly what I needed for extreme sleep apnea, knew the types of machines were options, types of face masks I needed and gave great options for who to see for suppliers. Very knowledgable. She talks quite fast, so if you aren't paying attention, you may miss something, but asking her to write it down worked for me!

I met Dr. Rebeca Liu when I was in Grapevine Baylor for Covid treatment. I found Dr. Liu to be extremely personable, knowledgeable and willing to engage in conversation concerning my condition. Anytime I had a question she took time to answer and was very knowledgeable and engaging. Amongst a group of very good doctors attending my care I would have to say she was my favorite. Patrick

My mother in law's first meeting with Dr Liu was when she was in the hospital. Before any testing was done Dr Liu informed her she most likely had cancer and then prodded my MIL as to why she was not scared - terrible bedside manner. When biopsy was inconclusive Dr Liu ordered a petscan. MIL went to appointment to get the results, Dr Liu told her "Good news! There was no glow on the petscan" indicating she didn't have cancer. Dr Liu’s nurse, Julie, congratulated her and commented that its not too often they get to give good news. Dr Liu ordered a CT scan for 2 months later to follow up on spot for changes. When my MIL met with Dr Liu for the results of the CT scan, Dr Liu informed her that her "cancer had not grown any" ???? MIL reminded Dr Liu that Dr Liu told her there was no "glow" and no cancer at her previous appointment 2 months earlier. Dr Liu emphatically said she DID inform my MIL at the last appointment that she had a glow and had cancer!! We spoke to Dr Liu's nurse Julie who… said she heard the entire conversation between my MIL and Dr Liu and that Dr Liu DID tell her she had cancer and that Dr Liu would never use the term "glow" because it wasn't a medical term. Then 5 minutes later Julie called us back and told us “yes, actually Dr Liu uses the term "glow" all the time when speaking to patients”. Julie flat out lied about hearing the conversation and hearing Dr Liu tell my MIL she had cancer!! My MIL went 2 months thinking she didn’t have cancer and then was told not only that she does have cancer but that she was told 2 months prior that she did. When we disputed the conversation and said Dr Liu told my MIL she did not have cancer, Julie asked us if my MIL was senile!! We scheduled an appointment with an oncologist and took all her reports and disks from her testing. The oncologist informed her THERE IS NO GLOW on the petscan and that the radiology report says the same thing!! My MIL in fact DOES NOT HAVE CANCER! Dr Liu has a terrible bedside manor, cannot read a radiology report and her and her nurse are liars. Totally incompetency all the way around. DO NOT SEND ANY FAMILY MEMBER TO THIS DR !! Their life depends on it!

Dr Liu spends a great deal of time with me as a patient. She answered all questions and brought a great deal of information to the table. Really a pleasant experience

I was having a good, positive visit with my father until dr Liu gave me her unsolicited prediction and prognosis before we’ve even done the testing. Thanks for ruining my day with your insensitive negativity. It takes more than education to be a great doctor. You’ll never be one.

She is the worst doctor that I have ever encountered.
