Dr. Rebecca Saben Timme, MD

Dr. Timme is extremely knowledgeable and experienced.

She is completely unqualified to work in adolescent psychiatry. I'm surprised she still has her license. I saw Dr. Timme when I was 14 and she worked at a different location. She was the only psychiatrist available in the county that would see kids. After a few months of seeing her, she had prescribed me roughly eight different medications, e.g. olanzapine, benzodiazepenes, fluoxatine, Abilify, topirimate, etc. all at the same time. I got so sick off the medications, my depression got significantly worse, and I had to be facilitated in a crisis center for a week. Once I was released, I quit taking all my medications with my primary doctor's support, and just stuck with seeing a therapist regularly. I never saw Dr. Timme again, and I felt a lot better within months. I'm glad she doesn't practice in our county anymore, but I'm scared that she still practices at all. Please, don't let her take care of your children. Find a licensed pediatric psychiatrist instead of a pill-happy osteopath… (which is a stop-gap MD, FYI, and barely a qualification to practice general medicine).

Seems to be unaware or unwilling to investigate the mother of her patient even though the mother has all the symptoms of Factitious Disorder (Munchausen By Proxy Syndrome).

Dr Timme called CPS on my mother because I had told Timme that my mom had a couple beers one night. She didn’t bother addressing it with me or even following up with CPS. It caused a ton of problems just to end up having CPS come to the conclusion that my mom is in fact a fit mother. She violated my rights and obviously wasn’t actually concerned as she never followed up with anyone and she never even bothered talking to me about it! I urge you to choose a different psychiatrist. She has caused so many unneeded problems and drama for me.

Dr. Timme is extremely knowledgeable and truly listens to concerns and background. She is the best psychiatrist I've encountered.
