Dr. Reddiah Babu Mummaneni, MD

Dr. Mummaneni treats me for idiopathic hypersomnia and is excellent at his job. He clearly explains everything about both my sleep disorder and the medications. He provided a clear plan of how he is treating me and answers all my questions.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Mummaneni by the ER. He refused to listen to anything my daughter had to say about what she was experiencing. He did not order any tests and got us out of his office as fast as he could. He blew off her symptoms as carpal tunnel (which would not cause the torso to go numb). If he had ordered an MRI (as the next neurologist did), he would have seen what the problem was. We will never use him again and will not go to the Cedar Park ER again because he is the neurologist they refer to.

excited to get to see him when I first realized that he was the doctor that took care of my grandmother, was very happy with him then. then I needed to see him. I can't rate him because in 3 visits I only saw the PA. the problem is the staff. no returned phone calls. for 3 weeks, serious problem with the medication and no returned calls. ended up medicating myself. threatened to come to the office if they would not call back. they did. told me the doctors were both gone on vacation and would get a call on Monday. no call. called 4 times in morning and no answer. called again and pressed one to indicate that I was another physician, they answered on first ring. transferred me to nurse and got answering machine, no call back. really liked the doctor but when you get zero response to life threatening prescription reactions for 3 weeks it's time to move on. your only as good as your staff.
