Dr. Regina Rodriguez Capili, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Capili for 20 years. She always spends plenty of time with me, goes over lab results thoroughly, and periodically scolds me for not taking better care of myself, but she has always been compassionate & understanding. I don't understand some of the negative reviews, because they sure don't sound like the Doctor I've been seeing for so long. My only complaint in 20 years is that the wait is often long... which I attribute to 2 possible things. 1) The staff may be scheduling people too close together, and/or 2) Dr. Capili never rushes patients & may spend longer talking with them.

I recently visited Dr. Regina Capilis office for an annual check up and it was BY FAR the worst experience. It is very obvious that Dr Capili is trying to make a financial profit in her practice rather than caring for the well being of her patients. It was required that I visit her office 2 times just to review lab results. I found it unusual, so I requested to review labs over the phone, if nothing was alarming, i didnt see the reason to driving 45 mins to her office. This didnt sit well with her, she started to talk very loudly over the phone and telling me that I was talking time away from her day and that if i wanted to discuss anything, i would need to go to her office. She then finally told me that one of my results was abnormal, which then I asked "What do i do, what is the next step?" and she yelled at me again and said "I dont know" by then I was really upset and said "You are supposed to know, you are my doctor and should be recommending next steps." which to she had nothing… to say and said that all she could do was mail me my results via mail. I was utterly disgusted!!! A person like this should not be treating patients.

Saw her for abdominal pain. I had an abdominal ultrasound to check on my appendix. Ultrasound could not show appendix so she prescribed 2 antibiotics, one of which was black labeled by the FDA. She said she wanted to make sure it was not an infection in the stomach or intestine. She was not sure what was wrong. I'm still having the same problem.

Dr. Caprili is very thorough with his explanations and really pays attention to detail with the problems you may have. He makes me feel very comfortable and takes the time time to really help me understand. Very happy with their services.

Went in for routine physical, given EKG that indicated I'd had a heart attack. Tech gave me 3 EKGs. All said the same result. Went to a cardiologist who told me the leads on EKG had been incorrectly placed...all 3 times!! He gave an echocardiogram that revealed a strong and healthy heart. Grapevine Medical and Surgical Center is NOT any medical office I would ever go to again. If I hadn't sought out a cardiologist, they would have prescribed heart drugs for a healthy person! Frightening!! Don't go here.

This is the first review I have ever written online about anything...books, restaurants, online purchases, other services, etc. I am a 31 y/o female. Dr. Regina was the single worst experience I have EVER had with a doctor. I would not recommend her to anyone. After waiting over an hour past my first appointment time just to get in an exam room, I actually wasn't too upset that she seemed rushed and short with me. I had a diagnosis, a prescription, and a follow-up scheduled. However, she was very rushed and hurried through the follow-up as well. By the time of my physical she reprimanded me for bringing up new symptoms that I hadn't written down on my new patient form! I had broken out in hives all over from amoxicillin that she had prescribed for the kidney infection. I felt that she wasn't interested in my family's medical history. When my blood work came back to show extreme hypothyroidism and I asked her to explain again what my results meant, she said she had already told… me, handed me the results and left the room! Needless to say, I canceled my fifth appointment with her and found another doctor. Bottom line is, if you want thorough treatment from a Dr. who will listen to your concerns about YOUR health and treat you with dignity and respect, seek elsewhere. *Leaving one star because no stars isn't an option* And, yes, I did inform her office of my feelings when canceling my appointment.

She did not take the time to explain anything to me and was extremely unprofessional.

regina seemed very concerned about my issues and was very kind but always trying to get me to come in for random things which would cost me in co pays but when I called back for a prescription change since the one she gave made me pass out on the job of caring for my baby, she did not bother calling me back and when I would call they would blow me off and sometimes even hang up on me. When I calls Regina's cell phone, she started to talk to me but then when she asked my name, she completely dodged me and hung up. I couldn't believe what they put me through after ending up in the emergency room which two herniated discs and then had to monitor my heart for possible failure because I didn't even have a doctor to go to anymore. I am just a young mother trying to be there for my child and after spending so much money in her office on co pays, etc, she couldn't even help me out.
