Dr. Reginald Lamont Baker, MD

Reginald Baker, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Reginald Baker joined the University of Miami Vascular Interventional Radiology Section in July 2012. He completed his undergraduate studies at Xavier University in 1993, and his medical degree from Tulane University, 1998 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He did an internship at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed radiology residency at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, Maryland. After his residency, he spent the next six years as an attending in diagnostic radiology which included serving as a staff radiologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

While serving in the military, he was the recipient of the Soldiers medal in April 2001 and multiple Army Commendation medals. Dr. Baker completed his active duty service in 2011. He finished his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional …Radiology in Miami, Florida at Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute in 2012. Dr. Baker has recently had a publication accepted in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR), "Ultrasound-Accelerated vs Standard Catheter-Directed Thrombolysis- A Comparative Study in Patients with Iliofemoral Deep Vein Thrombosis." Prior publications include abstracts in FASEB Journal, Modulation of Renal Responses to Angiotensin II (ANGII) by Nitric Oxide (NO) 1995 and Autoregulation of Renal Medullary Blood Flow (MBF) in Anesthetized Dogs 1994. He is a member of several professional organizations which include the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and American College of Radiology (ACR).
