Dr. Regis Francisco Acosta, MD

After years of see psychiatrists Dr.Acosta was the one the helped me heal.I have to admit that my first session did not go as I thought it would because he told me point blank what I needed to hear not what I wanted to hear. He didn't coddle me at all.I have made the most progress in the few years with him than I did in twenty elsewhere. I will be forever greatful. LKS

I saw Dr. Acosta for the first time, I felt he understood my panic attacks. He was great with me.

Dr. Acosta is the real deal. I have been seeing him monthly for several years. I have saw other Psychtrist before who were sub par. When I met Dr. Acosta I knew he was the perfect fit for my needs. During our first visit he was extemely thorough and meticulous. We spent the entire time focused on how to make my quality of life better and work on a plan to heal me realistically. He was very specific with regard to his intent for my treatment, he was not quick to throw a script at me like many other Psych Doctors I have had over the past few years, in fact he took the time to get to know me and figure out how he could help me. By the end of the session he had my full confidence and I will be making it a habit to take his advice and clinical recommendations. I look forward to seeing him every month. He is also very willing to accommodate me and he was also very specific in explaining how different treatments I like benefit from. Working in the medical field myself, I know how a lot… of medical professionals work. Dr. Acosta truly cares when I meet with him. He has a dry sense of humor like myself. Makes me feel comfortable when we have our sessions. He does not have the godlike complex like so many over providers do. Dr. Acosta talks to me like a equal while guarding me in the right direction. Also a straight shooter which I can appreciate. I have seen others write not so nice reviews. Which saddens me that he would be misinterpreted. I never write a review, after seeing some I felt I needed to speak my opinion being I do respect him. Also the office administrators are all top notch as well. Every time I walk in they are super friendly to my children and myself. They are hard workers and have a smooth running office. More than anything I want to thank them for their help. If your hesitant on seeing a psychiatrist, I strongly suggest meeting Dr. Acosta. Be prepared to turn your frown upside down. He will have you laughing while staying professional.

The dr is very acknowledged about medications and how to prescribe the correct medications. I have been to quite a few doctors who just prescribe and do not get it right. He. Is a very straight shooter which I very much appreciate. I highly recommend dr. Acosta to others who want the help.

Would not recommend. Dr will NOT talk to you on the phone in urgent circumstances. He communicates thru a receptionist. When it's re: meds you should be talking to a Dr or RN. Having a mental health team is important. He has never been willing to work with them, return calls, talk about meds. I have since found a kind, compassionate Dr. To manage my meds and work as part of my mental health team. Being told to go to crisis all of the time is irresponsible when you just need a med adjustment. It is unfortunate that this Dr. Didn't work out for me.

This doctor in sicklerville NJ . is the worst human being on the face of the earth. if you need help with your addiction and you want to change your life for the better, do not go to this office. this man is a scum of the earth, as are his staff. take my advice there are some great docs in the area, this is not one of them.

Dr. Acosta is an OUTSTANDING psychiatrist. I have worked with several Dr.'s and he is easily the best. Dr. Acosta is calm, supportive and easy to establish a rapport with. His education & experience qualify him as an expert in his field. I have referred several people to him and they have all had positive outcomes and would also refer him to friends.

He has been very helpful with assisting me in gaining insight regarding my issues.He allows you to follow through with appointments without feeling pressured.
