Dr. Reid D Holtzclaw-Swan, MD

Bright, patient-focused, Dr. Holtzclaw-Swan is an exceptional physician. He personally calls me to discuss lab results or answer clinical questions. His staff is friendly and responsive. I usually prefer female doctors, but he has always made me feel comfortable. I trust him.

I am leaving Dr. Holtzclaw. I have going to him for 3 years. The nurse takes the vitals just fine but during the visit I have never once had him listen to my heart. I am 69 years old with diabetes. Have never checked by feet or listened to my lungs. Have asked him for a referral to a dietitian 3 times and he says they will call me. Takes too long to get in to see him. He is pleasant enough but I feel I need a better Doctor. I'm done.

Poor service, going elsewhere. Had it.

Dr. Holtzclaw provides all I need in a primary care physician. He is friendly, competent and efficient. I am very involved in my own health, so I don't need a lot of attention. I always arrive at my appointments with questions about the issues I want to discuss. Dr. Holtzclaw takes the time to discuss what we need to discuss and sends me on my way with a plan to get well. So far, I am happy with him as my PCP.

The low rating for "Ease of Getting an Appointment" is based upon very long wait times (10 minutes +) on hold waiting to talk to someone. Dr. started recommending medications prior to the actual exam and re-issued my medications from another MD. without checking if they were legitimate prescriptions. Staff very busisness like, hard to get a smile out of anyone.
